Community standards
Report what helps neighbors understand their community.
Write what you know, identify what you do not know, and include a source an editor can check.
We welcome
- Firsthand reports that clearly distinguish observation from assumption
- Official notices, public meetings, school updates, closures, projects, and public events
- Corrections supported by public records or other checkable evidence
- Civil context from people directly affected by a local issue
We do not publish
- Private home addresses, sensitive personal information, or identifying information about minors
- Unsupported accusations, harassment, threats, discriminatory attacks, or attempts to identify private individuals
- Copied articles, photos, or posts that the submitter does not have permission to use
- Rumors presented as fact, deceptive edits, fabricated material, spam, or undisclosed promotion
- Instructions that interfere with emergency response or public safety
Editors may reject a submission that would require substantial rewriting or cannot be reasonably verified.
